< ALBERTO BARAYA. Artist residency at the Royal Tapestry Factory.
Baraya’s work reinterprets the Tauromaquias series by Francisco de Goya, who was one of the main painters of the Royal Tapestry Factory. Baraya creates the series Automaquias and other fables: Expedición a Madrid, in which he takes as a reference some of Goya´s images, replacing the figure of the bull with Pegaso brand cars, manufactured in the late fifties, avant-garde cars that became a true status symbol for their owners and, today, are exclusive pieces for collectors of historic cars.
