Moisés Mahiques
Valencia, Spain, 1976.

Holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Mahiques has chosen drawing as a form of expression to develop a work focused on the representation of the human body both individually and in groups. From classical compositions, the artist configures environments and scenarios where the individual confronts his own self. Drawing in its purest essence, black and white, line, background and form are the tools from which he starts to configure a recognisable and very personal style where he presents us with individual and social aspects such as power, submission, identity, belonging, solitude, order, chaos, etc.

His work is represented in the collections of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Contemporáneo (CAM), Canary Islands, Spain; Colección Fundación Montemadrid, Spain; Colección ABC and Colección DKV, among others.
